vCam MX2

Portable all-in-one mini CCTV inspection system

The vCam MX2 is the updated model of the popular vCam MX a portable all-in-one mini CCTV inspection system for viewing the internal condition of pipes, conduits, ducts and similar tubes between 25 and 100 mm diameter. The control module houses the 8” daylight-viewable LCD screen which displays the images from the remote camera, attached to the flexible pushrod. The LCD displays the distance of pushrod deployed, as well as the current time and date. The system records in “avi” video format and takes pictures in JPEG format directly to a USB thumb-drive and can be instantly backed up to an SD card. The internal microphone allows the user to add audio commenting over what recorded to highlight sections of the video and aid in identifying the video. Flexible pushrod is available in either 30 or 45 meter lengths. The pushrod is traceable with the use of an external pipe and cable locator transmitter and a locatable dual frequency sonde comes as standard equipment.

vCam Live View Mobile App

The vCam Live View Mobile app connects a smartphone or tablet to the vCam-6 and vCamMX-2 controller via Wi-Fi and streams the live video into the app. The videos and pictures captured in the app can be shared using the smartphone or tablets native sharing options. 

What is seen on the control modules LCD is duplicated in the vCam Live View app screen. This allows the contractor to keep everyone off the job site while still allowing them to view the live inspection.

One great feature in the vCam Live View Mobile app is the ability to use the smartphone or tablet as a text writer. When using the keyboard in the app, the text will be sent directly to the control module’s screen in real time.
